So, there’s a new “rule” here in SG - only licensed slaughterer can perform the Qurban during Eid ul-Adha. Beloved Theif was sent & his “practical test” is this coming weekend for Aqiqah slaughtering. I was a lil …”whaaaat?!” at first, since my husband had been doing it for years and years, & I personally feel it’s okay for any Muslims to slaughter their own sheep/cow/camel . After many thoughts, perhaps this new “rule” is here for our own good… As it had happened where there’s lack of knowledge about slaughtering in many, & well, things happened. Wallahu’alam.
